About this tour

From Palermo to Agrigento you cross Sicily from north to south: about 2 hours 15 minutes on the road, more in traffic. With a car and driver the trip is comfortable, and you choose the stops for a coffee or lunch.

The Valley of the Temples is a UNESCO World Heritage site: a long walk past the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Concordia and the other temples, with the sea behind them. Your driver can drop you at one entrance and pick you up at the other, so you walk in one direction only. Then, if you like, a stop on the coast to see the Scala dei Turchi, the white cliff above the sea.

The tour also starts from Catania, on request: say so when you book. Tickets and lunch are not included; inside the Valley you walk on your own or with an authorised guide, on request and paid separately.

Good to know

  • Valley of the Temples (official site, read on 20 October 2026): ticket about 14 euro per person, reduced 7 euro for EU citizens aged 18 to 25, free under 18; until 31 October 2026 an exhibition supplement of 3 euro is added. Open every day 08:30-20:00, last entry 19:00.
  • Check the hours again in winter.
  • In the Valley you walk for a few hours, mostly in the sun: bring comfortable shoes, water and, in summer, a hat.
  • Your driver drives, waits for you and suggests stops and timings, but does not explain the sites: in Italy, by law (Law 190 of 2023), only an authorised guide may do that. For the Valley of the Temples you can ask for an authorised guide when you book, on request and paid separately.
  • The tour price does not cover entrance fees: you pay them on site, or online beforehand where the site allows it.
  • Pickup at your hotel or address at the agreed time: in historic centres with limited traffic the car comes to your hotel where traffic rules allow, otherwise to the nearest point, agreed beforehand.
  • If you arrive by ship, pickup is at the cruise terminal exit or at the port gate agreed when you book: plan the return with a wide margin before all-aboard time.
  • The price is per group, not per person: by sedan for 1 to 3 people, by van for up to 8. The tour is private: no other travellers join you.
  • You can cancel free of charge up to 120 hours before the day of the tour.

Pickup

Pickup at your hotel or address (Palermo, Mondello, Palermo port, Altavilla Milicia). Add the exact address in the booking notes.
