Booking & Cancellation
The online form, open at any hour, at least one day ahead; a call or WhatsApp for sooner trips, free cancellation up to 120 hours before, and changes of flight, date or time.
One day before is enough: the online form takes bookings day and night, from 24 hours before the trip onwards. Enter the route, the day and the number of passengers, pick one of the four classes by its price and add the flight, ship or train. For a trip within the next 24 hours, call or write on WhatsApp to +39 392 177 4905 and we tell you whether we can cover it.
Up to 120 hours before the date of the transfer, at no cost. Just call or write on WhatsApp, stating your name and the day of the trip: we send back confirmation that it is cancelled. Day tours follow the terms shown on each tour's own page.
Where you start and where you are going, day and time, number of passengers and of suitcases. Then the reference of your arrival: flight number, ship name or train number, which lets the driver work from the actual time. In the notes field, mention oversized luggage, such as bikes or diving gear, and any useful detail.
Let us know by phone or on WhatsApp, giving your name and the new details, and we reconfirm the trip with the updated time. If the change also affects the start or the destination, you pay the fixed fare of the new route. A simple delay on the day itself needs no message.
Yes: you complete the form, and in the notes you add the passenger's name and a phone contact that works on the day of the trip. The driver will write that name on the sign at arrivals. It also works for wedding guests or colleagues, with one trip for each group.
Phone, WhatsApp, the online form or the contact page. La Sicilia Tour, based in Acireale in the province of Catania, is an NCC private driver service; you can write to us in Italian or English, and we have English-speaking drivers. For trips from tomorrow onwards the price appears in the form straight away, with no need to wait for a reply.
Prices & Payment
The fixed price per vehicle and what it covers, the night supplement already included, the discount on the return, extra suitcases and child seats, and the payment you choose in the form.
Per vehicle, and it does not change: a fixed price per vehicle, shown in the form before you book and locked at booking, whatever the traffic. It includes the vehicle with its driver, fuel, and one suitcase plus one hand bag for each traveller. Sedans seat up to 3, vans up to 8: six people from Catania Airport to Syracuse pay 140 EUR in total for a Standard Van, not each.
Yes, 50 %, for pickups between 19:30 and 7:00, and it is already inside the amount the form shows. Just enter the time: the total that appears includes the supplement and is final, set at the moment of booking.
You choose how to pay in the form, while booking, among the options available at that moment. The amount due is the same one you read before confirming, with the night supplement and extras already added.
Yes: the return trip gets a 10 % discount, applied by the form on its own. Outward and return remain two separate trips, each with its date, time and fixed fare: for example 130 EUR in a Standard Sedan from Catania Airport to Taormina and 130 EUR from Taormina to the airport, before the discount comes off.
Yes, both are paid extras to add in the form. The fare covers one suitcase and one hand bag per person: beyond that, enter the extra suitcases. Child seats are on request, added in the form by the child's age, and the total shows them before you confirm.
Not necessarily: each direction has its own fixed fare, and the form works out the one for the route you enter. Between the two airports, for instance, Catania to Palermo in a Standard Sedan is 563 EUR, Palermo to Catania 450 EUR.
In a Standard Sedan, per vehicle, 50 EUR to central Palermo, about 37 minutes, and 150 EUR to Cefalù, about 1 h 30; in a Standard Van for up to 8, Cefalù is 180 EUR. Otherwise, Cefalù has a train with a change at Palermo Centrale, EUR 13.10, taking at least 1 hour 49 minutes.
All tickets: hydrofoils, ferries, the Etna cable car, museums and archaeological areas, paid on the spot. To give an idea, in 2026 a full ticket to the Valley of the Temples or the Neapolis in Syracuse is EUR 14. The extra suitcase and child seats are also outside the base fare, selected in the form.
Airports, Ports & Arrival
Where the driver meets you at Catania, Palermo, Trapani and Comiso, flight tracking, the cruise ports, old towns with limited traffic, and flights stopped by Etna ash.
A private transfer: about 57 minutes on the road and a fixed price per vehicle, 130 EUR in a Standard Sedan or 180 EUR in a Standard Van for up to 8. Past arrivals, the driver stands with a name sign, and the drop-off is at your hotel where traffic rules allow, otherwise at the nearest point, agreed beforehand, since Corso Umberto is pedestrian. The bus needs about an hour and a half and costs EUR 7; from 1 November 2026 the last weekday departure is at 19:45.
In the Arrivals hall, with a sign bearing your name. The driver checks the actual landing through the flight number entered in the form, so a delay is not a problem and there is no need to phone. If the wait for your bags gets long, send a line on WhatsApp. It is the same at Catania, Palermo, Trapani and Comiso.
It comes down to where you stay: Catania is better for Taormina, Mount Etna, Syracuse, Noto and the eastern side; Palermo for Cefalù, San Vito Lo Capo, Trapani and the western side. The airports are about 237 km apart, about 3 h 15 by car. Arriving at one and leaving from the other? The link between them has a fixed fare, 563 EUR in a Standard Sedan.
With a private transfer, about 53 minutes: per vehicle 100 EUR in a Standard Sedan and 140 EUR in a Standard Van for up to 8. For the Mangia's Brucoli resort, public transport does not help: no Interbus or Etna Trasporti bus calls at Brucoli, and the Catania-Siracusa railway stays closed for works until 31 January 2027.
Not the train, suspended between Bicocca and Siracusa from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027 and replaced by buses. The Interbus coach costs EUR 6.20 and reaches Corso Gelone in about an hour and 10 minutes. By private transfer: about 1 h 05, 100 EUR in a Standard Sedan, and 100 EUR on the way back to the airport. In Ortigia the car goes where traffic rules allow, otherwise to the nearest point, agreed beforehand.
It moves, if a vehicle is available: send us a WhatsApp at once with the airport where you land and we meet you there at the fixed price of that route, for example 450 EUR from Palermo Airport to Catania Airport. In 2026, the press reports, Catania Airport was closed on 5 and 6 July, from 8 to 15 August and on 14 and 15 September, with flights cancelled or moved to other airports.
Yes, the same way as Catania and Palermo: the driver in arrivals with a name sign and the flight monitored. Trapani Airport (Birgi) to San Vito Lo Capo is 120 EUR in a Standard Sedan, Comiso to Ragusa 80 EUR. From Comiso, at present, no public bus to Catania, Ragusa or Syracuse is confirmed.
At the port, outside the cruise terminal or at the gate, at the point fixed when you book; at the station, when the train pulls in; in both cases with a name sign. Give the ship or the train in the form and we work from the docking or the real time. This holds at the ports of Catania, Messina, Palermo, Syracuse and Trapani; if you are then boarding a ship, choose a pickup that leaves plenty of margin.
It depends on the street: the drop-off is at the hotel where traffic rules allow, otherwise at the nearest point, agreed beforehand. That is the case in Taormina, with pedestrian Corso Umberto and a stop for instance at the Porta Catania car park, and also in Ortigia, Cefalù, central Palermo, Erice and, in summer, San Vito Lo Capo. Put the full address in the form: we tell you where to get out.
With a private transfer, about 1 h 55: 180 EUR in a Standard Sedan or 200 EUR in a Standard Van for up to 8. The direct Russo coach costs EUR 9 and in October 2026 has 5 departures a day, but no times are published from 1 November. The final stretch is a slow road that fills up in summer.
Tours & Vehicles
The four classes and the two vans and the coach for groups up to 27, day tours, Mount Etna and its cable car, the Aeolian Islands from Milazzo, shore excursions and the multi-day tour.
Yes, private excursions with a driver: Mount Etna, Taormina, Syracuse with Ortigia and Noto, Savoca and Forza d'Agrò, the Aeolian Islands from Milazzo, Palermo with Monreale, Agrigento, Erice with Segesta. They are all on the tours page, with price, length and departures. The driver takes you, waits and recommends where to stop; explaining the sites is for an authorised guide, on request, paid separately. Entry tickets are extra.
Four, all with a driver: Standard Sedan and Comfort Sedan for up to 3, Standard Van for up to 8 and Premium Van for up to 7. The form sets the four fixed fares of each route side by side; from Catania Airport to Taormina, for example, the Comfort Sedan is 150 EUR and the Premium Van 200 EUR. From four people upwards the choice is a van.
Yes: up to 14 people we use two vans and from 15 to 27 a coach, leaving and arriving together. Call us or write on WhatsApp with the day, the route and the number of passengers, and we confirm the two vehicles, each with its fixed fare. Above 27 people we prepare a written quote.
By car you reach the Rifugio Sapienza square, about 1,900 metres, on the south side, or Piano Provenzana, about 1,800 metres, on the north side. From Sapienza the Etna cable car goes up to 2,500 metres: EUR 54.00 return in 2026, paid on site. Above about 2,500 metres access follows the volcano's alert phase; the summit craters only with authorised alpine or volcanological guides, when the phase allows it, and since 12 October 2026 they are closed.
As far as the boarding point: the islands are reached by hydrofoil or ferry, with a separate ticket. For Lipari, Vulcano and the other Aeolian Islands we drive you to the Milazzo hydrofoil quay and collect you there on the way back: from Catania Airport 260 EUR in a Standard Sedan. For Favignana and the Egadi Islands you board at Trapani port: from Palermo Airport 180 EUR.
Yes, private excursions with a driver: from Messina to Taormina, Mount Etna and Savoca, from Catania to Mount Etna, Taormina and Syracuse, from Palermo to Monreale, Cefalù and the city. You meet outside the terminal and the time back is set with a margin before all-aboard. From Messina port to Taormina it is about 52 minutes.
Yes, if you ask beforehand: a transfer with a stop has a written quote, which you receive before setting off. The luggage stays on board and the driver waits until the visit ends. A break in Taormina, Cefalù or for a meal works the same way.
Yes, on request and with a written quote: for example a week, 7 days, between the east of the island with Mount Etna, Taormina and Syracuse and the west with Palermo, Agrigento, Erice and Trapani. The driver moves you from one hotel to the next and waits during visits. Tell us the dates, the number of people and the places you are interested in.
